Aw!! Poor Evan, He's still hurt over Dieter's death huh? Poor thing. But I can understand how that can affect things, especially when you've been used to having that person around you all the time. That's sad, I feel bad for him. I think he should open up to V, they could have another opening up session and then they could get closeer and then they can figure out that htey love each other and then they can have ADORABLE babies together!!!... Ok, maaaaybe I went a little too over the top with that one but soon maybe. :] I loved it! Thanks for the update! I've been waiting and I'm glad it came! The suspense made this chapter all the more fun to read! Keep up the great work! -MSMND

Okay, just had to scream that--LOVE me some Madison Cartham!!! NEwho...that was so sweet how V wanted to honor her favortie foster family with their last name! AWWW! Evan's like a big kid with that Roctoberfest and I really did want to see him in action there, and V's reaction to the chaos; but I trust Mike, as cautious as he may be and, after the death of Dieter, if it's made him more apprehensive, then, yes, I agree that maybe this year might not be the year to headline or at least, to keep from being sued for not showing up to the scheduled performance, limiting Evan's time to showtime only. Drat! Well, we shall see.

That's a rough childhood, indeed, with a lot of blows but she made it through and that'w what counts in the long haul...though I'm sure there are more scars than she lets on. And with Evan's temper, I could almost see him getting a private dic and finding her parents to give them the lecture of their life (or planting her father a facer)...then again, for some reason, I could also see him going into her school records and retrieving her never-bought school pics for her. Wouldn't that be something. Evan's a hothead and a comforter like his grandfather and father. I love it. I'm proud of where V's come from and where she ended up! You keep doin' the damn thang, girl!

This chapter was like a warm blanket draped over me...loved the individual insights and honesty developing between the two. The longing in V's slipping more the closer she gets to Evan and it's getting a little easier for him to get answers out of her--or maybe he's just discerning her character better. Either way, great read and lots to ponder, like is she checking on her sister online and, if so, what makes her so secretive about it.

Poor Val trying to talk Evan into not going out. It will be very difficult if not impossible especially since he is looking forward to showing her the festival. And she has shown a distinct lack of the ability to say no to him when he wants to do something, actually she usually joins him. If something happened to Val because of Evan's fecklessness he would have a hard time forgiving himself. I can't wait to see what happens.

wow that last chapter was INTENSE and not only that but you updated on my 21st birthday! :) I'm glad that you gave some insight to Valerie's past. It was really sad Sue :( a lot of it made me cry but I have so much respect for those women who refuse to let their pasts dictate their self worth. Sorry this is not the greatest review, I've been sick with the stomach virus going around here...yuck

Just because she'll talk to him about it, doesn't necessarily mean that they'll follow that advice... Besides, I want to see Val in her own rocker clothes, not just stuff she's borrowed from Evan. Keep up the good work, dark

Well at least Evan has some answers to work with and maybe that'll help him in figuring out what he needs to do in order to sway Valerie's decision in his favor. Thanks for this chapter Sue and cant wait for the next chapter to come out!

I'm glad that Valerie had a reason for choosing Denning as her new last name, gives more feeling to the attachment she had with the last family. Can't wait to read about Rocktoberfest!

AW! THey're getting closer! That's always a good step but as his youkai said it will be no easy thing to convince her. That's neat though. And Rocktoberfest. My mom went to one and she said it was crazy! I can see Mike fear of Evan's safety, but I'd be more afraid of V's safety because Evan's probably going to sneak out, and if he doesn't then ht'll spend it with Valerie!! Yay! Cutee can't wait for the next chapter. I can't wait for them to get closer and for V to realize her love for Evan! -MSMND
