I'm in love, Valene is the new ' V ' darling lol. I think that this is a defining point in Evan and Valene's relationship she is perpetually letting go. I am glad it was Evan to steady her, I'm in love with the build up this point in their courtship so to speak. You don't know how much I appreciate you. Your a genius. MWAH!

I like Valene, it sounds like a pretty name! Poor Valerie though to go through all that, but I'm glad she felt like she could trust Evan enough to tell him that.

Omg. This was the deepest chapter you've written for this entire story so far. I couldn't stop reading. I don't feel sorry for her but instead I feel a sense of pride for her. Especially because of the situations I've endured with my mother and father. Valerie is officially awesome. Can't wait for the the next chapter.

As much as I have enjoyed readin about his tour, I'm glad it's ending soon, because after all this time spent with almost only Evan... I'm sure just hanging out with Melvin is going to be a bit lack luster. I keep reading this while listening to Kelly Clarkson's Beautiful Disaster... It really fits.

I loved the glimpses into their pasts. And I bet Evan's parents were in the audience and didn't want him to know. I can't imagine Gin letting her "baby" have a concert and not go. And I bet even Cain would want to see his son but hide that fact. Val's past is coming across so sad, I wonder if Evan will appreciate his parents and family more after hearing about hers. Will Val remember feeling claws and fangs from having kissed Evan and had him touching her? I understand he wears a disguise, and he could cut the claws sometimes, but the fangs are there and they were passionately kissing so I got to think she felt the fangs. I also want to say I am in awe of the amount of music you had to research for this story. You found so much that fits the story, or did you have the songs first and worked the story around them. Either way the sheer volume that you had to listen to and get the words for impresses me. And I am sure that you listened to many more songs than the ones that appear or will appear. Your listening list must be HUGE. My hat goes off to you for that.

So it has something to do with her childhood, I'm speculating of course. But she seems so sad and confused. Evan needs to get to the root of her upset and not just lie there complacently. Somethimes we may not want to discuss the deep dark parts of our pass but if it begins to affect our everyday life its time for truth. And that goes double for Evvie him and Cain are going to have to have a heart to heart. Even Sess and Toga have a better relationship then them and well thats just wrong lol. Sess doesn't seem the cuddly father type lol.

Aw, I loved how Evan is trying to cheer Valerie up! He can be so sweet! I wonder when he'll sing that one song to her again, so maybe she'll know that it was him in the first chapter.

Another amazing chapter! Every time Valerie's past is brought up I just get more and more curious, but I love how she changes the subject by asking Evan to play for her.

You know as much as I complain in the fourm about not knowing much about Valeries past, Id have to say that my favorite part isnt her talking about her past but going to Evan and having him play her one of his songs. Whether if its to remind her of the parents she never had or if it's to get her out of the funk that sets in once memories surface. Thats my favorite part. Another excellent chapter, Sue. I wonder why V was so tense, though. Maybe she's from Kentucky (this chapter was in Kentucky, right?) Oh, well, at least it looks like things are getting better between V and Evan. I just hope Ol' Jim doesn't interfere too much.

Sorry...pushed the SUBMIT button and forgot to rate the last chapter--all 10s, of course! Moving right along... Okay, I just sat here for about a minute with temporary Writer's Block... It's just...you ever have so much to say but don't wanna bore the hell out of someone trying to get to the point? Simply put, I'm concerned about how Evan's feeling and wondering if he's suffering from some kind of mate-denying withdrawal or something--did that make sense? I mean, yeah, he had a night of blue balls and frustration from unfulfillment, but it was all for the best. Thing is, youkai and hanyous don't get human sicknesses so, feeling like he's got the flu...not good, I'd say. Then again, I guess I have to read to find out if my theory is pure conjecture or not. Meanwhile, LOVING the fact that V's catching herself in the act of blaming Evan and owning up to her own part in the night's activities. Though, yeah, her timidity is intriguing. I guess if a person spends so much time asigning blame, when the shoe's on the other foot--or should I say, self-realized--it's rather humbling. And those flashbacks and snippets of convo where Evan tried to protect her from herself...damn. And then to have the engagement ring wink at you at the same time you're trying to clear your mind of drama--well, V's got some 'splaining to do and a potentially embarassing day ahead of her.
