I was so depressed after reading the last three chapters, that I read through the Christmas chapters again, just so that I could feel the love again. You write in such a way that I feel like I'm standing on the beach while the stormy waves are rolling in. I feel like I'm there, in your story. Phew, alright, I'm less disappointed in Evan now. And at least Valerie doesn't seem as upset as she could be (which could be an even worse feeling for her than some, cause she would think she doesn't have any right to be upset he slept around). It's good that Evan sees he waged his war too lightly for someone as emotional damaged and fragile as Valerie... He damn well better make this up to her, though. |

I have the biggest grin on my face. After the last three chapters, this chapter was definitely more than just a bandaid. I see it as a turning point, a new beginning for the both of them. Awesome job!! Awesome and you really are just loving this, aren't you? Making me eat my words as I slowly pick up the jagged pieces of my face off the floor...lol. Soooo...I read the 3 chapters when you first posted them on Jan. 23rd and was a little sad that there wouldn't be anymore chapter updates this week but I can understand why though. On the upside I loooooved getting my fill of V and Evan early, no doubt. ;D Gotta admit though, when I saw the *updated* status on mm.org I immediately had to come and see if you posted a surprise chapter. Even though that wasn't the case I wanted to leave you a note and let you know I have read all of your stories [...that sounds wayyy stalkerish] and that I absolutely love how you have branched out the Inuyasha world in the Purity series. :] Keep up the good work and never let others get ya down! |

Let me just say how much I love the two songs you picked for this week's chapters. Drops of Jupiter and My Immortal are both great songs by great artists. Now, after the pity-V chapter, it's my turn to be angry at Evan for a little while. Except I'm not entirely how... nowadays, it's becoming harder for me to decide whether or not I want to focus on the characters or the writers of certain stories or tv shows when something comes up. I become caught in between 'why would the creator do this' and 'i see the genius in the creator's plan, but let me bash on this guy for a bit...' and it's driving me crazy. I'll have to settle with light applause on V's chapter of reflection and realization, and then a sharp, reprimanding slap on the wrist for Evan. Loved it all as usual. thanks for the early updates, that'll sustain me for awhile. :) Waiting patiently ~FF7I |

I really have to stop fooling myself whenever you give us the "no clean version of this chapter" warning, I always assume that refers to the main characters getting busy with each other, and not someone else. Which admittedly doesn't happen a whole lot, but still, this IS Evan's story. I could say I was looking forward to some angry and/or makeup sex for Evan and V, but I doubt it's that easy in this case. I have to say I really like Evan's youkai voice right now for reminding him of what could and did happen to his relatives, somehow people seem to get caught up in their problems and overlook those all important factoids. On the other hand, I feel for V, but at least she is doing some of that self-examination she's been avoiding. And just think, if Maddie had written a "How Not to Get Caught Up in Evan's Smexy Aura" booklet for V, this unpleasantness could have all been avoided. That is, assuming V hadn't burned it (or even better, dropped it back in Evan's bushes). |

Intense. That was so freaking intense, I thought I was going to shit my pants. Like no joke, I was freaking out. The stuff they said to each other. I was devastated. I thought "Oh, please let them reconcile." Good God, you are a genius. They needed this. I didn't even really know how they were going to but, this eems to be the best way. Damn. I have loved all your stories, but I have say this one has me on the edge of my seat at the end. Even and Val have grown so much, but these last chapters really help you see how much more they still need to change. Thank you for your stories, I get excited when you I see you have updates. |
