So, she ended up in the bed after all. Damn, I can FEEL Evan's sexual frustration. It'd bedamned ironic if, if he DOES find a willing woman and the situation is set up perfectly to "release his tension" and homeboy goes flacid. The fact that his Youkai voice even SUGGESTED that he reveal his heritgae speaks volumes of the situation. It's deep when, this far in, even his youkai side's just as unsure of things as he is. And, V, you're not helping things. Sometimes, I see a relly big and bold and SHARP argument coming soon; one where the blinders aren't just taken off, but are totally disintergrated. Cracks me up imagining this Purity continuation reaching 200 chapters, but the way things are going...well, lemme not jinx the "happy couple". The past couple chapters, reading of V's wet dreams was hilarious--like a mental slap in the face to her indecisiveness. What. The. Hell, woman! Okay, he gave in, as I suspected he would, poor sod, and she's giving him passive-aggressive (possessive) vibes left and right. Maybe the sad little girl in her's seeking the atention she knows--or assumes--is generally the norm with Evan. I'm all for character development so, as with Sydnie in Phantasm, I reserve judgment AMAP. She ticked off a couple readers, too. I know V's issues, so I'm trying to be patient. Maybe she IS trying to straddle the fence with Marvin and Evan a bit...not nice, but I can see how it could happen. Love the fact that he's got his own island, btw. Um...there are no words to speak of the...disbelief I'm feelign at V's, what?, selfishness, utter disalloawance of Evan's feelings, denial of being brushed off totally. Evan, being so blunt and all is, strangely, refreshing. She doesn't seem to be gettign the point. Or has he spoiled you so much that you don't get it when No means "NO, woman!!!"? Huh. I really do not like Valerie in these last few chapters. She reminds me of the Valerie from the very beginning chapters and I didn't like her then either. She is so wrapped up in herself and what she wants, she isn't taking Evan's feelings into consideration at all. She's jumped down his throat every time he's even looked at another woman and still maintains that she and Evan are "just friends." Now she's whined her way into his acation when he made it clear that she wasn't wanted there, and she's breaking her promise keep her nose out of his sexcapades. Before I review, Happy Birthday and also I have to say I adore the entire Purity series. I won't tell you the exact number of dreams I've had about how Evan and V finally get together because frankly it scares me (haha). I really loved this chapter but I'm saddened by it as well. I really truly hope that Evan doesn't sleep with anyone. I know V's being selfish and it would serve her right for her behavior (cake and eating it too and all) but I really think if he sleeps with someone and she finds out it's really truly going to break her for good. I'll still love your stories no matter what Evan does, but that was just my thoughts because I got this awful sinking feeling after I finished this chapter that V just may try to swim home next chapter. Thank you for the great story. I have this visual of your characters in my head all the time ready to pop out and whenever I'm bored I try to guess what's going to happen next. I'm always happier with what actually gets written but hey, I've been close a couple times (okay like once haha).
