Hippo Birdy two ewes, hippo birdy two ewes, hippo birdy deer ewe, hippo birdy two ewes! LOL. I enjoyed both of the last two chapters, I'm thinking that V is part ostrich and keeping her head in the sand, are you sure she isn't part ostrich youkai? Or maybe she the reincarnation of Cleopatra, Queen of Denial, oh man, when she finds out just exactly what it is she is keeping Evan from, especially since it will be with Evan that she finds it out.....well, like he said so many chapters ago, she's gonna beg, BEG....Bwahahahahahahahaha...Sueric, you are a terrible, wonderful woman, and I am convinced that your middle name is Torquemada. LOL Nothing like setting someone up for a HUGE fall. Okay so my favorite part is listening to Evan's youkai trying to talk him out of this idea of trying to pick up women. Especially when Valerie is right there!?! I mean does Evan want to blow his chances with Valerie? I don't see anything good coming out of this. I sort of don't like how V asked him to go even after he'd avoided her for 2 weeks. I think she should've taken the hint a little better. Right now...I'm kind of irritated with her and her selfish self...asking to go knowing she hurt the man. Sad... Well Sue. I hear your sick. All I have to say is what is this vacation going to be about? I mean are Evan and Valerie going to go there separate ways? You know Evan do his thing and Valerie do hers? hello and happy new year sue, its great to be reading chapters of this story again. as i've said before, Evan is my favorite character and i absolutely adore him. Now that my internet connection is up and running again time to comment. I was trying to like Valerie, i really was, in fact i was warming up to her. Okay the kiss was a "mistake" (bullshit but hey wat can u do) BUT! y won't she leave him alone? he blatantly said he wanted a V=less "Acation" (btw thats adorable!) I think its her turn to be cast aside for awhile. I really hope when i read the next chapter that he really left her behind. even if they wound up together i think its wrong of her to be taking advantage of him. if she wants to play the just friends game then she should ask her murflin to take her to the bahamas and not try to hitch of free ride with my Evan...anyways as usual sue, ur writing is engaging and gets me really into the characters. I leave for basic training for the NAVY in April and i'm hoping i'll get to see the rest of this story unfold before i ship out and get cut off from the world for 2 months. The picture! Poor V! Evan is EVIL!!!!! I love this! I want that friggin’ pic! And poor Maddy, trying not to laugh out loud, like I was, in this library, when I read it! Oh, LAWD, that was such a funny chapter! Wow, what a way to stifle a laugh. Marvin’s back! Evan’s being ‘mature’ and ‘understanding’ and V’s off balance. Oh, shit! I never thought of her as a bitch, but I can see how, if Marvin’s as nervous of incurring her wrath, scared of her leaving him, he’d just about kiss ass. There’s this unhealthy give and take there—the almost wanting to cling to ‘my woman’ vs the tunnel vision guy with a mission who has a fiancé who’s just as busy, so the long absenses are the norm and it makes him NOT clingy. There’s, I think, some love there. He respects and likes her and is attracted and awfully grateful to be in her life, she’s pretty much the same and grateful for the comfortable-ness and safety net-type feel of their dealings with each other…but, there’s Evan. I think, in some ways, Marvin’s a little tense but generally trusting, where it comes to Evan Zelig. He’s a famous, rich, talented, gorgeous guy that’s ALWAYS around his woman, but she shows a professional side in her dealings with him, MOST of the time…and Marvin’s, well, not really all of that. He’ goal-oriented and friendly and…there… I wonder if he gets how generic the emotions are between him and V sometimes. Not fake, just not deep. I feel for him. I hope he gets let down easy but also gets it that he’ll never really find love if he can’t go for it with his whole heart and if his mission major in the point in his life is research and fundgin of such, to honor his brother and help save others in the same straits, then, he maybe needs to be unattached for a while. Neglect is hurtful, even if it’s not understood by the one doing the neglect. Poor Evan…dude really got his hopes up. I can’t blame him after that kiss and the bonding for the holiday. | Title:

That’s the theme song for me, for this chapter. To be an observer, V was probably in her own bubble of holiday bliss. I wish I could’ve seen her wrapping paper—the one she saved that was hand-painted. I find those details so wonderful and I knew she’d get a kick out of them, too. Maddy’s back! Yay! Evan’s so hentai, I just KNEW he was thinking ecchi thoughts when they hugged! And Miss! So good to see she’s still holding on and that Daniel is adjusting to the reality of things in the loss of his Dad. I really miss Deiter. You write secondary characters as detailed as main ones and he’s a reall loss to the Purity series. I hope Miss doesn’t die. I’m so glad Bailey was so friendly to Daniel at that moment, to take the sting out of things in the childlike way that subjects can be quickly dropped for new ones. And it’ll get him further into the family than as a friend to Bailey, on top of being Evan’s godson (at least, I think I read somewhere in this story, that he was). NEwho, I’m rambling…I do this much, ne? Evan youkai voice is such a perplexin mix of common sense and horndog that the serious side sometimes tickles me more than its more crude side. Lovely chapter! No, not just by the fact that V. Initiated. The. Kiss. No, that HUGE bombshell wasn’t the only Warm fuzzy moment for me, but just seeing V soak in the love and family togetherness and acceptance, it did my heart good to see her get such a wonderful Christmas memory with a man who adores her and a family who would be so much joy to her world. The gift she got him was so right up the alley and spokes volumes of their change in relationship from a reluctant attorney, just barely willing to take his case, to a woman who, as much as he infuriates her, want so much for him (from his complete exoneration in court or all charges, to health, happiness, realization of familial love, wishes of success and growth…she loves him. Simply put. Just…well, she isn’t there yet, getting it in full, yanno. But, those unconscious things, those sayings, doings, allowances—the fact that she thinks he has a beautiful soul and she couldn’t fight that invisible pull this time—that kiss! All I can say is, for the sake of character development, I’m resisting the part of my brain the mentally slaps her across the forehead, screaming “Get a CLUE, woman!”…cuz, we shall see. Evan helping his mother cheat—figures! LOL! And that AD—puh-LEASE, Sue, tell me you’re making a pic of it! Oh, the WALLPAPER I can—urk! Moving right along… Gin cracks me up, saying all those random things about people as if it’s nothing. Ah, she means well, ne? The comments after the fact—pure comedy GOLD! Then, just as I suspected, ‘The Punishment’…sure to clear a house and I LMMFAO at the images of the family rushing the kids out the door.
