I hope she does spend her Christmas with him. I was actually feeling really sick before reading this chpter =, but I feel much bbetter now! Maybe it 's your mad, mad skillz....good job on the chapter and I'm looking forward to more!

Definitely an adorable chapter!!! My favorite phrase for this chapter was probably this: "squishy parts smashed against my not-so-squishy parts". For some reason it made me laugh a lot!!! And goodness, you are so talented Sue, I really enjoy reading all of your stories!!!

I just knew Evan would do something to need a lawyer again just to keep Val involved in his life, but I didn't expect him to moon 12 year-olds. I loved how Val was sulking about Evan not wanting her and then he proved he did in such a typical Evan fashion. I can't wait to see how Evan reacts to Val's Christmas plans. Though I suspect that Marvin will stand her up like he did for her birthday and she will end up with Evan again.

Okay, knowing from the start that they get together in the end (and the TEASERS in your forum), I know it's not but Evan's gotta be feeling a little rocky where it comes to V. Is the case over. Will she drop the case and him in one fell swoop? It's a lot to contemplate of your future mate on top of stress, depression and feelings of self-disgusut. When I read your description of his face, I got a little nervous but remembered not only his situation but Griffin and Bitty Belle and how they weren't full established as mates but Isabelles still looked a little worse for wear--so i relaxed...a bit. V's inner dialogue was interesting: V's got an EGO? Say it ain't so! LOL! I could imagine the drive it took her to get where she is in the business made her tough and dilligent and focused and maybe a little hard-assed...okay, so maybe she IS a little cocky. Then again, if you do your job well and know your potential, why deny it? another example of how we can be our own worse critics because when our consiousness kicks in, the truth can sting. I feel her pain about the severe nervousness with big excitable dogs, too. Just because their master's assured they'd never hurt you, doesn't put your mind at rest, does it? Remember Kagome and Dammit in the beginning? Nuff said. This chapter gives me hope for the duo. But I smell angst on the wind--it's a spicy scent and somewhere in Japan, InuYasha sneezes. Yes, I had sugar, today... ROFL!

It may be hentai at times, but in many ways, he's your better half in times like this... The past with Diet and Evan made my heart clench and the talk with Miss and Evan was a wrenching as it was satisfying to rread. SOMEone close to the situation had to get through to him and who better. Evan's practically Daniel's godfather so he'd always have to be in touch with her and there needed to be a moment of reckoning/"keeping it real" between them. Seems like Evan's willing to marinate the details now that a few days have gone by and he's calmer. Still, stubborn will, pride, protectiveness or whatever you wanna call it, I can't get mad at Evan for his ideals: they're honorable in their own way, if not overbearing and assumptive but it's Evan and how he is under all the fabricated rocker drama he paints over his surface. It's like he cares TOO much about things and people and doesn't want folks to see it. **huggles Evan**

Evan, V got you GOOOOOD!!! That letter had me choked up. I loved the end greeting about the bunnies. I so wish Diet could have turned his life around but he had intentions and That counts for SO much! Imagining the strain of a mate leaving you vs. your pride and honor...no wonder Diet was so torn. V got Evan good though, leading the lamb to the slaughter effortlessly as Evan tried to "say what she wanted to hear" or, in his case, blow off big stuff as insignificant. Oh, this chapter was a revelation and a line in the sand. So many times I thought V would leave Evan and his case but she stuck in there even when it got hard and he drove her to distraction and her boss all but told her "drop everything and babysit the damn fool rocker for us"...I'm so glad she stuck in there. Now it's interesting to think where their relationship will go.

These reviews took a minute and sorry 'bout that--there's a SERIOUS thunderstorm right now, Sue. This one will be short since it leads into chaps 105 and 106. I nearly fainted. Reading MISS in the chapter, I chortled like glee and popped my collar. In all my random theorizing I just KEPT coming back to Diet! I was RIGHT! Oh, let me gloat a bit! **sports Naraku "Kukukuku" smirk** Okay, i'm done! Seriously evil cliffie, woman, but I loved it! This chapter wowed me...read it twice, btw! Onto part 2 (or review for chapter 105).

Without managing to remind v at all about what she said (which she presumably forgot ever saying)that has been bothering him so much, he already made her take back her words. :)
