Evan sure comes up with unique solutions to his problems. I laughed all the way through this chapter, which was good since the last two or three made me cry. Evan's and V's insecurities and vulnerabilities really are heartbreaking. The two of them are definitely better together than apart. Marvin just needs to go away. The sooner the better. Great chapter and thanks for all the chapters you've given us lately. It's very much appreciated. Also, thanks to Proforce for stepping in to beta. He's done an excellent job.

Oh that was just great! Lol, wow, leave it to Evan to find some way to get thrown back into jail :) So, how long will this trial take? Bet Evan is going to try to drag it out as long as he can huh?

Aww, poor Evan! I hope he can find some way to make her stay. The ending to the chapter was sad :(. I really hope they still keep in touch so he can convince her she needs to be with him.

Another update?!?! I think I love you. I loved the mirroring of Evan getting ready to talk to Val about something serious and she leaves with the end of the last chapter and he left her when she was going to talk to him. And talk about miscommunication, they both wanted to continue to see each other but thought the other wanted to end it. This is so reminiscent of Kagome and Inuyasha snd their problems with communicating, well done. It was good that Evan accepts that Val's past will color her perceptions of him but he forgets that she has seen the other gentler side of him that she can accept him as he is. I think she needs to have her head examined for accepting as is, but that is just personal taste. lol. I look forward to seeing how the two get together though I suspect Maddy will have something to do with it. I also look forward to seeing if Evan ever realizes that his father loves him and is proud of him and that Caine wanted to attend the concert as much as Gin did. I look forward to seeing the next update whenever it comes out. Have a good, fun week.

OH NO!! Evan's pulling a Gin. And we all know how disasterous that was. I hope he doesn't... well now it's V' turn to step up and let him now what she's feeling for him. I don't want to see Evan go through that. Oh, Evan...Maddy, your bestie needs you! Please come to his rescue! or... someone. Well, this chapter was a welcome surprise. I am glad that Evan found Val jogging. You can see a foreshadowing of Val's rejection in Evan's haggard appearance. At least that is my opinion. I think that is why Evan sought Val out, even if he doesn't fully realize it himself. He went looking for his mate. Poor Val is going to have to get over her fear of dogs though after she hooks up with Evan since he is part dog demon. I can't wait to see her reaction to that. I loved how Val realized part of her bad reaction was hurt ego, but given her past it isn't surprising. It was so typical that just as she was coming to that realization Evan leaves. The next chapter is going to be good.

I just finished this chapter and realized there was another waiting for me. Whatever caused all these updates I am thankful for unless it is a bad thing, then I am just grateful for the updates :) I loved how introspective Evan was and how he finally saw that he can't fix everything and he doesn't always know what is best. Poor Miss waiting for Evan to come home. I liked how she explained to Evan that she saw as a good man because of his flaws and not despite them. He will make a good role model for his son to look up to in that aspect. It was a short but excellent chapter.

Well, I'm glad that Valerie and Evan finally talked, even if it did seem a little stilted, they got some of the air clean! Poor Valerie, between Evan and his dog she'll never win lol!

Wow... V is hurt, and I mean REALLY HURT!*+*+*+ No matter how much she tries to analyze the whole thing it still comes down to how hurt she really is. *+*+*+ I think that talking to Evan and seeing for the first time his take on it will open her eyes to how far he is willing to go for those he cares about. +*+*+* On the lighter side, I though it was funny when she said that she didn't like dogs! Hehehehe! I was expecting Evan to come back with a "Whoof!" Oh V!! If you only knew!! (LOL!!) *+*+*+* I was hoping that Evan would talk to V some more, but was sad when she came back and he was gone... I'm hoping that he will sit down for a well deserved long talk with V. *+*+*+* Thank you for writing and updating Sue! I look forward to the next update!

Poor Evan, He's trying so hard to battle his demons and keep V at his side, but it seems all forces are working against him on that. I feel bad for him because he's trying so hard and he feels like he's getting nowhere with it. I hope V doesn't give up on him so easy. I agree with Inner V, Give him that one. Poor Evan!! He's my favorite! I hope he feels better. Well, as always, Keep up the great work and I'll be excitdly waiting for the next chapter.-MSMND
