Aw! What a great chapter! I love when you write one on one interaction between Vegeta and Goku and I love that Vegeta's starting to accept the closeness and continuing to grow closeness between himself and Goku. I also loved the line, "Amazing how much he looked like his mother... a beautiful child..." because it's such a subtle admittance on Vegeta's part that he also considers Goku to be beautiful as is the like where Goku says Vejita is cute like his daddy. Adorable. I also like that both the ladies decided that they're okay with the thought of Goku and Vegeta ending up together after they're gone because they could take care of each other. They've all come such a long way. Can't wait to see where all this ends up.

Oh is my secret wish for Vegeta and Goku to get together coming true? They are certainly getting closer. Their babies seem to be willing them too as well, not to mention ChiChi and Bulma. I really liked their midnight conversation, ChiChi has come a long way in her acceptance and you have made it believable. The last part in the nursery was so cute and funny, it's left me with a warm fuzzy feeling. As always another wonderful chapter.

Very nice. The conversation between Chi-Chi and Bulma about the possibility of their husbands accepting each other as a couple once they both pass on was nice to read. I like stories that have a Goku/Vegeta theme where the two wives aren't made to be evil, heartless witches. The ending scene with Goku and Vegeta sleeping on the nursery floor was very well written as well. I'm looking forward to see more growth on Vegeta's part as he becomes more comfortable with exposing his true feelings towards the people he cares about, especially Goku.

Oh, I LOVED this chapter! I liked the interaction between Goku and Vegeta in the nursery. It was interesting to see Vegeta struggling to adapt to more of a 'family life' with Goku, but he seems to be accepting it. Wonderful work!

I love your propensity toward character depth. It just shows through the story and this chapter so well. I'm glad Bulma and Chichi had that discussion (even though it made me laugh), to put both of their feelings on the metaphorical table. Between the discussions of the characters and the little moments between Goku, Vegeta and the twin, someone at some point will overhear part of a conversation. I wonder what would happen then. Great job!!!

Well I have to start off by saying this chapter was impressive. I love the girl talk between Bulma and Chi Chi, it felt so right. I also love the part with Goku and Vegeta. This story just keep getting better and better.

Well, I have obsessively caught up with this story over three nights of reading. I can't wait for the next chapter and I hope that you are feeling better. I really appreciate the depth and breadth you are giving to the Saiyajin culture and their custums in a very creative and believable way. It seemed so odd for both the Son family and Briefs family to combine households, yet it makes so much sense. It's also refreshing to see how everybody is adjusting to their roles within the family structure and how relationships that were negative are moving in a more positive light (such as Chi-Chi and Vegeta). I am also pleased with the development of Goten and Trunks relationship. They make such a great pair together simply because they know and understand each other so well. I'm also very much interested in seeing how Goku's and Vegeta's relationship continues to evolve. It's really nice seeing the two of them finally in a good friendship, but with Daikkon's revelations about Saiyajin family and marriage, and Bulma's desire for Vegeta to someday find somebody who can love the proud prince as much as she does, it makes me wonder if the two of them will get over the terrible experience they shared to form a more permanent relationship. It seems that they have the same ability to have a relationship like Goten and Trunks have, but they probably don't see it that way. The twins are also quite adorable and their personalities are so different from one another. Overall, this has been a fantastic read and I can understand why I love long stories like this. Looking forward to the next chapter.

OMG, an update at last!!! It's good to hear from you again, and I hope you're feeling better (geez you were so cryptic in your last author's note; I hope it's nothing serious *worries*). I loved the whole concept of Chichi teaching Bura how to sew. So cute! Okay, maybe now I like Bura a teensy bit more than I used to. :p Since Chichi never got to have a daughter, she's probably enjoying this opportunity to bond with the girl and pass on some of her more traditionally female skills.

Lovely chapter! I'm glad you are doing better. :) I'm sure Chichi will be thinking about the reason Bulma mentioned why she had two weddings.... Keep up the great work. :)

I have to admit, the idea of Bulma throwing the surprise baby shower made me feel a bit uncomfortable. But it worked out surprisingly well for all parties involved, and I laughed aloud at some of the mental images I had in my mind (like Piccolo winning a picnic set and Vegeta suffering the indignity of wearing a baby safety pin). Terrific chapter, as always. I'm addicted to this story.

I want so much for Vegeta to just accept that he and Goku can be friends and that he doesn't have to hide behind his actions that make him seem cold and distant. I can tell that Goku very much wants to share his pregnancy with Vegeta, but the end of the chapter made me sad with Vegeta's refusal to acknowledge his own thoughts and feelings about Goku and the baby. Even though it makes me sad, this story is wonderful and I'm looking forward to when the baby finally comes.

Well, that was certainly awkward for Goku, but it was good that he finally decided to tell his friends. I'm sure they all would have found out eventually, but this way, he doesn't have to worry about what they think when the baby arrives. And I'm glad that he kept true to his word to explain exactly what Vegeta's involvement was. Also, maybe I'm off on this, but is there a slight romantic attachment between Goten and Trunks? I know in an earlier chapter, Vegeta sort of asked Trunks if there was something going on between the two of them and that it wouldn't matter if there was. It doesn't bother me one way or the other, and it certainly isn't the central theme for the story, but I do like Trunks and Goten and there friendship is just such a great thing.

This chapter was intense, happy, sad, a whole myriad of emotions. It's completely understandable why Vegeta would want Goku to get rid of the baby and how he could see Goku's refusal as a way to punish him. Part of me wishes he could just take a step back and think about why Goku would make such a decision, but I know that Vegeta's gone through some terrible things and he hasn't figured out how to forgive himself. And I'm glad that Goku has decided to keep the child. I didn't think that he would abort it, because that would go against his ideals of protecting the weak and the innocent. Vegeta and Goku represent two different dichotomies and it will be interesting to see how their opposing views possibly shift as Goku endures his pregnancy. On a side note, I also appreciate how you have dealt with Chi-Chi and Bulma. I'm impressed with how supportive they are of their husbands, even though both are certainly suffering just as their counterparts are. You keep them both very in character, having Bulma use her brains to help the situation and showing Chi-Chi's angry emotions through her day to day activities, yet keeping her support of Goku her number one priority. This is just such an excellent story, one that I've been missing out on.

I'm so glad you were able to update - it's great to be reacquainted with everyone and their situations and how they're all changing and growing. And the more Daikkon behaves in a reasonable the manner, the more my suspicion of him grows. Poor guy - there's just something about him that makes me want to point at him and shout "Aha!".

it's so amazing watching the saiyan style family progress, new roles are defined, old ones strengthened...they coexhist as if it was always meant to be that way. Although I wonder if Daikkon is deliberately planting suggestions about the saiyan-style family into their heads and for what reason. The comment he made to Piccolo made me wonder a bit, although it could be innocent "and hopefully once again see the Saiyan race return to its former glory." I'm not sure how far ahead this story will pan out but a comment in ch 70 made me feel a bit sad for Vegeta, and his fellow saiyan, the fact that when their respective human spouse dies, at say 80, they will have 150 years of loneliness to look forward to. I guess here I can see Daikkon's notion of the shoume being useful, if the relationship of Goku and Vegeta progresses that way. I really enjoyed the way you wrote Vegeta in 71 (although I always enjoy him in your story ) But in this chapter I got a sense of one of the reasons why I enjoy your depiction of him, when Vegeta says : "I am not unwell," he began, the smirk returning to his lips. "I am not displeased with our living arrangement." Trunks raised an eyebrow. "Kakkarot's wife cooks well... Kakkarot is not too bothersome." The teen smiled. "I always get enough sleep. And the boys... They are not too bothersome." And then when Trunks says "He wondered why it was easier for the prince to say what he wasn't feeling, as opposed to what he was..." I think that is such a sharp observation about Vegeta's persona, and it is right on point. You've taken such thought into having each character have their own mode of expression, which I think is one of the reasons why the depth of your characterisations is so rich. That's why I enjoy the dialogue, the communication between the characters, even Chi Chi and Vegeta (their silent agreements, and hidden meanings which they express to each other) their relationship is one I didn't expect, yet one which works very well.
